William "Bill" Harrison Arrowood, Jr., age 89, of Cliffside, went home to be the Lord Friday, November 20, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Bill was born January 5, 1931 in Rutherford County to the late William Harrison Arrowood and Maude Lail Arrowood. He worked for Cone Mills for approximately 50 years and was a past member of Goodes Grove Baptist Church. Bill was an avid golfer, NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the Shriner's Dances. He loved making people laugh and telling people how to do things.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Sailors Arrowood; son, William "Bill" Forrest Arrowood and grandson, William Andrew Arrowood; three brothers, Max, Cecil and Buddy Arrowood.

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Bertha Davis (Larry) of Mooresboro; two sons, Randy Arrowood (Janet) of Mooresboro and Dylan Arrowood of the home; daughter-in-law, Lisa Arrowood of Hendersonville; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Goodes Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
