William Edgar Thompson, 61, of 107 Lail Court, Lawndale, passed away
Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Carolinas HealthCare System - Cleveland in
Shelby.

He was born in Lincoln County, on December 26, 1954, to the late Cone
Thompson and Mamie Belle Houser Thompson.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his son, William
Matthew Thompson and several sisters.

He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Elizabeth Ann Elmore
Thompson; two daughters, Melissa Thompson Crump and husband, Teddy of Golden
Valley and Roxana Thompson Smart and husband, Michael of Polkville; two
brothers Carl Thompson and Fred Thompson both of South Carolina; two
grandchildren, April Crump and Kevin Crump.

All services will be private.
