William F. "Bill" Dysart
William F. "Bill" Dysart, age 85, of Caroleen, died Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Willow Ridge Rehab Center in Rutherfordton.
Born October 23, 1932 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Beaulo Dysart and Eldaree Owens Dysart. He attended Tri-High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served during Korean War. Bill worked for K-Mart for many years and for Biggers Brothers Produce. He faithfully attended various Baptist Churches and the Church of the Exceptional. Bill loved to travel to Nashville and enjoyed listening to Country Music. He was also an avid baseball fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Doshie Smart Dysart; three brothers, B.J. Dysart, Bobby E. Dysart, Donald N. Dysart and a nephew, Butch Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory include three sisters, Mattie Lackey of Forest City, Hazel Appling or Rutherfordton, Helen Ricks of Gastonia and special friends, Ralph and Robin Boyd of Morganton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews which includes special nieces and nephews, Nick Smith, Mike Smith, Rene' Vinson and David Smith.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ralph Boyd and Reverend Alan Hoover officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with military honors being rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff of Willow Ridge Rehab Center for the love and compassion that was given to Bill. Each of you went above and beyond in your care for him and were an extended family to him.
