You can help Shelby VFW reach their $50K goal for Autistic student programs

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post #4066 of Shelby is looking for contributions for their annual fundraiser for the Exceptional Children's Programs of Cleveland County.
The mission is to help provide for the extraordinary services and supplies that are not anticipated or funded in the school budget. All funds are held and administered by Dr. Nellie Aspel and Dr. David Fisher, members of the Cleveland County Schools administration.
"This fundraiser is for the benefit of the exceptional children found throughout the Cleveland County Schools. We are uncertain exactly how many children are affected, however there are hundreds enrolled in these special programs. Other sources of funding are yard sales, dinner events, an auction of donated goods, a golf tournament to be held in April for Autism Awareness, two live concert events and other sponsored fundraisers. If the requested amount cannot be approved, then we will gather our options and continue to move forward and do the best that we can. Should we be unable to fulfill our goals, we will contribute whatever is available and continue our outreach to these children in whatever way is presented by the administrators. Our 2019 goal is $50,000! Please consider becoming a donor and helping these deserving young people as they face lifetime challenges.
All funds raised are sent to the Exceptional Children's Program, all administrative or operating expense is volunteered by the VFW membership. Your participation will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged by our organization and everyone in Cleveland County who has been touched by autism."
To contribute to this very worthwhile cause please contact Shelby VFW Post 4066 at 704-487-9093.
