Ages 8 to 17 are qualified for this great event.
The program was launched in 1992 and was created to interest young people in aviation. Since its’ inception, EAA pilots have flown more than 1.6 million young people in more than 90 countries.
Jack Poole, Airport Supervisor said: “We are very excited to have the EAA Chapter 309 from Charlotte choose the Shelby-Cleveland County Regional Airport to hold a Young Eagles Rally. This is a great opportunity for kids interested in aviation to come to the airport and experience the excitement and joy of aviation, as well as learn about the job possiblities in the field. We hope to make this an annual event with the opportunity for many more kids to fly next year.”
The Young Eagles Flight Rally program is a great opportunity for everyone to come to the airport and see what it’s all about. For all those between 8 to 17 years of age, you will definitely want to be a part of this adventure. Photos Provided by Jack Poole
