Shelby To Host Youth Sports Tournament
Shelby City Park will host five Tar Heel Leagues State Girl’s Fast-Pitch Softball State Tournaments July 18th through 21st. These tournaments will feature 5 Shelby host teams and combine to have a total of 39 teams with nearly 600 players and coaches participating in the 4-day events. The tournaments consist of twelve 8 & under teams; eight teams in each of the 10 & under, 12 & under and 14 & under; and three teams in the 17 & under age bracket.

        Piecemakers Quilt Guild meets the first Wednesday of each month from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Lincoln County Senior Center, Lincoln Campus of Gaston College, 511 Aspen Street, Lincolnton, NC, in room 319. We are here to teach and encourage those interested in the art of quilting. Visitors and new members are welcome.
