The 3rd annual Rhythm & Roots Run will kick off Saturday, November 3, 2012 with a live musical tribute to Earl Scruggs who passed away March 28th. The tribute will be led by Wiregrass, a local bluegrass group, playing “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”.
Six students from the Cleveland Community College Basic Law Enforcement program were recently honored for their achievements during a special graduation program held in the Mildred H. Keeter Auditorium on the CCC campus.

Kings Mountain Middle School Cross Country team won the 2012 Tri-County Middle School Conference against teams from Cleveland, Lincoln and Rutherford counties. Their team had the top 3 and 5 of the top 10 girl cross country runners in the conference.
