Cleveland County Welcomes American Legion World Series
More than 600 volunteers will be in American Legion World Series (ALWS) uniforms for the five-day tournament that begins with the first pitch at 9:30am Friday, Aug.16. Four games will be played on Friday and Saturday, three on Sunday, two on Monday and possibly two on Tuesday.

The Kosa retirees fished Lake Wylie this past week. John Black fished solo and picked up the win. Black brought in 9.10 to beat out fellow soloist, Ronnie Humphries, who had 6.12. Fred Wright and Mack Wyatt settled in third with 5.60. Big bass was a 5.29 largemouth brought in by Tony Black. This week, the rocking chair gang head back to Lake Norman.
