Gardner-Webb University’s Relay For Life will be held on November 2nd, 2013 at Spangler Football Stadium on campus. It will start at 8:00PM and last until 12:00AM. Senior nursing student, Blaire Teeters, and Alumni Bryte Warrick are the co-chairs of this event.
On Saturday, October 19th during the Mush, Music & Mutts Festival (official Liver Mush Festival of NC the 3rd annual Little Miss Liver Mush Pageant was held. Fifty-two beautiful girls competed for the 8 division titles and an Overall Grand Majestic Title.

I started the morning sitting in a tree stand. A few weeks ago I had trimmed limbs and opened up some shooting lanes for this new stand placement. I think it is going to be a good one.

Church Directory
November is National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. During the week of November 4 – November 8, 2013, Hospice Cleveland County will be hosting a Virtual Conference on Grief, Loss and Bereavement.
Capt. Joel Shores and Brian Gordon of the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department will present program on scams and frauds Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Neal Senior Center in Shelby.
Soon our streets will be scattered with little ghosts, goblins and watches trick-or-treating this Halloween. “Halloween should be filled with surprise and enjoyment and following some common sense practices can keep events safer and more fun,” said Sheriff Alan Norman of Cleveland County.
Liver Mush is nine year old Peyton’s favorite. He and his mom, Lisa, were ready for a bite of their fresh liver mush sandwich.
This year’s liver mush festival took on a new theme. “Mush, Music & Mutts” was introduced and included live music, the popular pet parade, art, pumpkin painting, a children’s costume parade, plenty of food and array of craft vendors.
