The Don Gibson Theatre (DGT) is taking its shows on the road. Four upcoming performances are going to be held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds (1751 E. Marion St., Shelby) instead of at the iconic 400-seat venue.

One of the City of Kings Mountain's most exciting festivals, BeachBlast, has been modified this year because of COVID-19 group size restrictions. In place of the festival, the City is planning a virtual beach party on August 22.

Those Thursday evenings are when Common Ground Cafe hosts a pop-up event to bring together area residents for a delicious meal that is available for whatever price the diner can afford to pay.

Tickets are now on sale for this year's "Valentine's Day Lunch at the Carrousel" event, which will be held on Friday, Feb. 14, 2020, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
